Are companies wasting their time with social media profiles

"Are companies wasting their time with social media profiles?"

According to a recent survey conducted by an online marketing firm, Vertical Response one-third of the 500 small business owners interviewed would prefer to avoid spending time on social media.
Following are few reasons why the social media may not be beneficial for companies:
·         Spend more time on your business
Then the time you spend on a social network site could be best utilized to increase the quality of your product or service, in order to satisfy your customer and bring them back to you for more business. Spending time on Facebook or Twitter may increase the number of one time buyers, but your social network activities do not guarantee repeated purchase of the customers. In order to gain loyal customers you need to devise business strategies and focus on the quality of your product and service. Instead of posting pictures of your product or office, spend more time on improving your company’s service and product quality.

·         You can’t hide from your fans
The Business owners defend their time on social media by communicating with customers who are critics of your product or service. However, they forget that social media is also a forum to get positive reviews, PR through satisfied customers.

·         Protect your  ideas
While you are pouring your business ideas and plans on your Facebook page, you should be aware of the malicious entities who will try to penetrate into your Facebook account for fun or to steal your ideas through computer monitoring software (please visit mobistealth) or cell phone spyware

·         The Publishing is not your job
This is a common notion among the social media marketing circles that brands are also playing the role of publishers by advertising their products and company on their through Facebook and Twitter
